This dog park is a value-added amenity that is a beautiful, well-maintained open space for all registered and healthy canines. Dog owners are expected to adhere to the following, basic park rules and restrictions.


Registration:

To gain entry to the off-leash Desoto Dog Park, users must first:
  • Register their dog(s) at the Property Owners Association (POA) located at 895 Desoto Road in Hot Springs Village.
  • Produce a current proof of rabies shot document for each dog.
  • Pay the registration fee for each dog.
  • Sign the Dog Park Waiver
Rules and Restrictions:
Do's Dogs must be licensed, vaccinated, and wear an appropriate collar with tags.

Owners must leash and unleash their dog(s) within the double-gated entrance and carry a leash for each dog inside the park.

Owners are responsible for the behavior of their dog(s) at all times.

Owners must be within visual sight and voice control of their dog(s) at all times.

Each dog must be attended by its owner.

Owners must immediately clean up after their dog(s) and deposit it in the waste receptacles available at the park.
Don'ts

  • No dogs under 5 months of age are allowed, as they may not be fully vaccinated and are vulnerable to disease and injury.
  • No female dogs in heat.
  • No sick dogs.
  • Do not allow your dog to jump on people or bark excessively.
  • Aggressive dogs are not permitted.
  • No food of any kind inside the park.
  • No dog food or dog treats inside the park.
  • No smoking, as discarded butts are dangerous to dogs if eaten.
  • No alcoholic beverages or glass containers.
